Purpose: The purpose of this study is to increase an understanding of the importance of organizational socialization in an introduction process based on employees' experiences. Our hope is to clarify which aspects are meaningful for a new employee in order to tie social bonds to the workplace, while those aspects also promote organizations' way of formulating their introduction process. Methodology: A survey focusing on introduction processes with an inductive approach. Empirical data have been collected through six semi-structured interviews. Conclusions: The result of the study showed that the aspects that are meaningful for new hires to tie social bonds to the workplace are that introduction processes should be structured. The study concludes that relationships are what should permeate introduction processes at all levels to tie social bonds, which is valuable for both the new hire and the organization.
