<p>Hospital doctors find their workdays getting even busier. The information load is perceived as increasing, whereas time for seeking and reading are reduced. We have used a qualitative method in interviewing four experienced neurologists with a special focus on obtaining information regarding drugs. We have also encouraged them in order to present ideas for the future. The informants reveal that they preliminary get their information from collegial interaction or the Internet. These two channels are evenly ranked. Personal contact with Pharmaceutical industry, participation at medical Congresses and Seminars are also rated as important sources for information. Hospital libraries are used to a certain extent. All informants position themselves positive to our proposals regarding usage of new technology as long as the user interface is simple. This work indicates that user involved development of software and handheld PC technology can be an issue for further research.</p>
