This study examined the attitudes of Black and White adoption workers toward transracial adoption. The instrument used was a two part questionnaire. The first part of the questionnaire focuses on the socio-demographics of the respondents; the second part of the questionnaire focused upon respondent's attitudes toward transracial adoption. The subjects were asked to respond to a questionnaire consisting of twenty-seven items.
The major findings were: There is no significant difference between the attitudes of Black and White adoption workers toward transracial adoption. Based on the total responses to the items listed in the questionnaire, the writer has concluded that the majority of adoption workers fell strongly about the issues on Transracial Adoption and attempted to look at the best interest of the child in terms of placement.
