SOME RECENT ADVANCES IN THE SPECIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT OF OPTICAL IMAGES

QC 351 A7 no. 49 / The use of the two -dimensional Fourier transform to compute the
form of the optical image has led to new insights into the form of
images. The techniques involved are discussed in some detail, and
the application to tolerancing of surface errors is used as an ex-
ample of the results.
