Ex A. Rich, Aspifia africana (Pers) C.D. Adams, Cardiospermum halicacabum L. and Momordica foetida Schumch. Et Thonn. Selection of the plants was based on ethnobotanical surveys of traditional treatment of malaria symptoms and reports from traditional healers practising in three different communities.
