The Development of socio-moral Evaluations in human Infants and Preschoolers

I will be presenting some empirical findings on the development of socio-moral evaluations in infants and preschoolers, this subject has had a long trajectory in the field of psychology in the last decades. For this reason, it is important that I describe some of the classical theories and recent literature that explains the development of morality. More specifically, I studied next to my collaborators: the emerging capacity of ‘the sense of fairness’, ‘harm’, ‘prosocial helping behaviors’, and the ‘logic of merit’. Our research supports a nativist viewpoint where the origins of justice, fairness, and equity are of an innate foundation rather than an acquired one.
