Previous issue date: 2016-03-10 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / Who are the Brazilian researchers-doctors studying hospitality? How do they treat this main theme in their works? This documentary research study aims to investigate the production of hospitality in Brazil and to identify the profile of its researchers-doctors. The study material was obtained by the Lattes Platform curricula. The analysis of scientific journals has been made using the methodology of state of knowledge and content analysis, based on three categories - common sense, sociocultural and business. The results showed that methodology applied on hospitality studies interferes in the analysis results; that in both methods applied, the socio-cultural category is the one that contains more articles; that the authors most widely used by researchers-doctors are Levinas, Derrida and Camargo; these researchers-doctors come from these following areas: Tourism, Business Administration, Engineering, Communication and Education and the majority work in public institutions of higher education. / Quem são os pesquisadores-doutores brasileiros que estudam hospitalidade? Como tratam o tema em suas obras? Esta é uma pesquisa de caráter documental que teve como objetivo conhecer a produção sobre hospitalidade no Brasil e identificar o perfil desses pesquisadores-doutores. O material de estudo foi obtido pela Plataforma Lattes de currículos e a análise dos periódicos científicos utilizou por metodologia o estado do conhecimento e a análise de conteúdo, com base em três categorias – senso comum, sociocultural e negócios. Os resultados mostraram que a forma de análise aplicada interfere diretamente nos resultados; que em ambos os métodos aplicados na pesquisa em hospitalidade a categoria sociocultural é a que contem mais artigos e os autores mais utilizados pelos pesquisadores-doutores são Lévinas, Derrida e Camargo. Com relação aos pesquisadores-doutores do campo, estes são oriundos das seguintes áreas: Turismo, Administração, Engenharia, Comunicação e Educação e a maioria deles trabalha em instituições públicas de ensino superior.
