O presente trabalho, que se fundamenta na Epistemologia Genética de Jean Piaget, trata da investigação da noção de conservação de energia em alunos do Ensino Médio. A coleta de dados foi realizada a partir de situações experimentais com base no Método Clínico. Os sujeitos foram 17 alunos, com idade entre 16 e 18 anos, de uma escola estadual de Ensino Médio, da cidade de Porto Alegre. Foram encontrados três níveis de desenvolvimento para a noção de conservação de energia. Este trabalho aponta os rumos futuros da pesquisa em nível de doutoramento, na qual serão investigadas, em uma turma de Ensino Médio, as repercussões de uma estratégia de ensino baseada na noção de conservação de energia, tratada com tema transversal dentro de diferentes contextos da Física. / This work, which is based on Genetic Epistemology of Jean Piaget, researches the notion of conservation of energy in high school students. The data acquisition was performed from an experimental situation based on the Clinical Method. The subjects were 17 students, aged between 16 and 18 years old, from a state high school in the city of Porto Alegre. Were found three levels of development for the notion of conservation of energy. This work points out the future directions of research in doctoral level, which will be investigated in a group of high school students, the repercussions of a teaching strategy based on the notion of conservation of energy, treated like a cross-cutting theme within different contexts of Physics.
