Previous issue date: 2014-05-30 / The objective of this study was to evaluate the treatment results when the stabilization (Michigan-type) splint was used, in patients with orfacial pain, who were seeking treatment in the Occlusion clinical at the Faculty of Dentistry of PUCRS, using the RDC/TMD, and associate some variables among the results found. The methods employed were the RDC/TMD, a stablished method for research in this ?rea, and also a pain follow-up questionnaire three months after the beginning of treatment. Satisfactory results were obtained / O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar os resultados de tratamento realizado com Placa de Michigan, em pacientes com Dor Orofacial, que buscaram atendimento no Ambulat?rio de Oclus?o da Faculdade de Odontologia da PUCRS, utilizando o question?rio RDC/DTM, e associar algumas vari?veis entre os resultados encontrados. Os m?todos empregados foram o question?rio RDC/DTM, um m?todo j? consagrado no uso para pesquisa nesta ?rea, e ainda a aplica??o de um question?rio de acompanhamento sobre a dor ap?s tr?s meses do in?cio do tratamento. Os resultados obtidos foram satisfat?rios
