Previous issue date: 2011-11-30 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / The present work studies and analizes the University for All agenda (ProUni), seeking
to deepen the studies involving changes and possibilities on the person s life on the
basis of higher education, in the context of Educational Policy. The main objective is
to verify how, from the admission of the ProUni s scholarship students in different
courses, whether a better possibility of social change in the lives of these individuals
occured or not. It starts with the assumption that, access, retention and conclusion of
higher education for the public served by ProUni, foster social changes that alter the
expectations and possibilities in the lives of scholarship students. The research
methodology prioritizes the multi-dimensional approach which allows us to receive the
contributions of different knowledge areas. In that sense, goes beyond limits from
possible disjunctions bettween subject and object, nature and culture, empirical and
theoretical, considering the dynamism of the relation bettween the whole and the
shares. This research is part of a lager project. It is about an interinstitutional
research, called ProUni and social inclusion, financed by the Coordination Of
Personnel Improvement Of Higher Education (CAPES), and the National Institute Of
Educational Studies and Researches Anísio Teixeira (INEP), within the Education
Observatory, which the goal is to evaluate the process of integration and social
inclusion of the students served by ProUni aiming a emancipatory action. The study
focuses not only on the results for themselves, but demonstrates the understanding of
the relation between the bonds of particular actions and the context where these take
place / O presente trabalho estuda e analisa o Programa Universidade para Todos (ProUni),
buscando aprofundar os estudos que envolvem mudanças e possibilidades na vida
dos sujeitos a partir do ensino superior, no âmbito da Política Educacional. O objetivo
geral consiste em verificar como, a partir do ingresso de alunos bolsistas do ProUni
em diferentes cursos, ocorreu ou não uma maior possibilidade de mudança social na
vida desses sujeitos. Parte-se da hipótese de que o acesso, a permanência e a
conclusão do curso superior para o público atendido pelo ProUni, promovem
mudanças sociais que alteram as expectativas e possibilidades na vida dos bolsistas.
A metodologia da pesquisa prioriza a perspectiva multidimensional que permite
acolher as contribuições de diferentes áreas do conhecimento. Nesse sentido,
ultrapassa limites provenientes de possíveis disjunções entre sujeito e objeto,
natureza e cultura, empírico e teórico, considerando a dinamicidade da relação entre
o todo e as partes. Esta investigação se insere na esteira de um projeto maior. Tratase
de uma pesquisa inter-institucional, denominada ProUni e inclusão social,
financiada pela Coordenadoria de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior
(CAPES) e o Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira
(INEP), no âmbito do Observatório da Educação, que objetiva avaliar o processo de
inserção e inclusão social dos estudantes com financiamento do ProUni visando uma
ação emancipatória. O trabalho não privilegia apenas os resultados por si mesmos,
mas evidencia a compreensão da relação entre os vínculos das ações particulares
bem como o contexto em que estas se dão
