Previous issue date: 2015-08-29 / Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq / This research focuses on Curriculum Policy: the teaching of Portuguese in the basic education in Jataí-GO. The researching question was defined like this: How is being developed the teaching of Portuguese in schools from the Municipal Education Council in Jataí-GO? The research is justified taking into consideration that the teaching of Portuguese is part of the curriculum since the basic education, and its form has been diversified in its several stages, that is perceived as ineffective. It is highlighted that there is no data regarding the way in which the teaching of Portuguese is developed in Jataí-GO. The general aim of this research was to investigate the teaching of Portuguese in the curriculum policy for the basic education in Jataí-GO. The documentary research, with qualitative focus, made use of official documents regarding the curriculum and some Portuguese lesson plans in schools of the municipal council. A theoretical referential was elaborated in order to support the analysis of the collected data and the critical theory elements of the curriculum was privileged. This research argues that the Portuguese lesson plans from schools in Jataí-GO follow the guidance of the national documents and the Curriculum Reference of the State of Goiás Education Council. As a result, this research points that the development of the curriculum of Portuguese in the municipal council, according to the documents analyzed, follows the perspective of the social and cultural reproduction, once there are no evidences in the lesson plans that teachers work in order to the student’s political formation or his/her emancipation never mind the construction of a contextualized and historical awareness. / A presente pesquisa enfoca Políticas de currículo: o ensino da Língua Portuguesa na educação básica em Jataí-GO. A questão norteadora da investigação foi assim definida: Como está sendo desenvolvido o ensino de Língua Portuguesa em escolas da rede municipal de Jataí-GO? A pesquisa se justifica tendo em vista que o ensino da Língua Portuguesa está no currículo desde a educação básica, e sua forma tem sido diversificada em seus diferentes estágios, mostrando-se muitas vezes ineficiente. Ressalta-se também que não há dados sobre como se desenvolve em Jataí o ensino da Língua Portuguesa. O objetivo geral da pesquisa foi: investigar o ensino da Língua Portuguesa dentro das políticas de currículo para a educação básica em Jataí-GO. A pesquisa documental, com enfoque qualitativo, utilizou-se de documentos oficiais sobre o currículo e de planos de aula de Língua Portuguesa do sistema municipal. Um referencial teórico foi elaborado para dar sustentação à análise dos dados coletados e este priorizou elementos da teoria crítica de currículo. O estudo mostra que os planos de aula de Língua Portuguesa do município de Jataí seguem orientações dos documentos nacionais e do Currículo Referência da Rede Estadual de Educação de Goiás. Como resultado, aponta a pesquisa que o desenvolvimento do currículo de Língua Portuguesa no sistema municipal, conforme os documentos analisados segue perspectiva de reprodução social e cultural, uma vez que não há indícios nos planos de que os professores trabalham com vistas à formação política do aluno ou de sua emancipação, muito menos da construção do conhecimento contextualizado e histórico.
