Pesquisa do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul - FAPERGS / This study aims to compare the use of different biodiesels produced from different raw materials and production routes in a stationary diesel cycle engine. Physical and chemical analyses were performed on biodiesels, their molecular structures were determined, as well as opacity, consumption and emissions in stationary engine used in motor-generator group were analyzed. In cooperation with CIENTEC - Foundation for Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul and Bianchini S.A Company, biodiesels were produced from soybean oil and tallow, with purity percentage according to ANP standard. In addition to the commercial diesel purchased at gas stations, consisting of 7% biodiesel already in its composition, it was used blends with 20%, 25%, 30% and 50% diesel-biodiesel, as well as pure biodiesel (100%). Tests were performed on a diesel stationary engine, Ruggerini, 191 model, with nominal power of 13 kW, instrumented with a gas analyzer and an opacimeter on the exhaust system. Gases such as nitrogen oxides (NOx), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and nitrogen monoxide (NO), as well as O2 (oxygen) and SO2 (sulfur dioxide) were analyzed, and the results were compared with theoretical works previously published. The results showed that the most favorable blend and showed a better behavior in terms of opacity was the methyl soybean B100; in relation to consumption, obtaining equal values, were the B20, B25 and B30 ethyl soybean and the behavior of the emissions who was more favorable was the soybean B25 by methyl route despite little difference with the other studied blends. / O presente trabalho objetiva comparar a utiliza??o de diferentes biodieseis obtidos a partir de diferentes mat?rias-primas e rotas de produ??o em um motor ciclo diesel. Foram realizadas an?lises abrangendo desde as caracter?sticas f?sico-qu?micas dos biodieseis e suas estruturas moleculares at? ensaios de opacidade, consumo e emiss?es de gases em motor estacion?rio empregado em grupo motor-gerador. Em parceria com a CIENTEC ? Funda??o de Ci?ncia e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Sul e a empresa Bianchini S.A, foram obtidos os biodieseis produzidos a partir de ?leo de soja e banha de porco, com percentual de pureza de acordo com norma da ANP. Al?m do diesel comum adquirido em postos de combust?veis, constitu?do de 7% de biodiesel j? em sua composi??o, optou-se pela utiliza??o de misturas com 20%, 25%, 30% e 50% adicionado ao diesel, al?m do biodiesel puro (100%). Os ensaios foram realizados em um motor ciclo diesel da marca Ruggerini, modelo 191, com pot?ncia nominal de 13 kW, instrumentado com equipamento analisador de gases e de opacidade a fim de obter dados de emiss?es de gases de escapamento. Foram analisados gases como ?xidos de nitrog?nio (NOx), di?xido de carbono (CO2), di?xido de nitrog?nio (NO2), mon?xido de carbono (CO) e mon?xido de nitrog?nio (NO), al?m de O2 (oxig?nio) e SO2 (di?xido de enxofre) e os resultados comparados com referencial te?rico publicado anteriormente. Os resultados demonstraram que a mistura mais favor?vel e que apresentou o melhor comportamento em termos de opacidade foi o B100 de soja met?lico; em rela??o ao consumo, obtendo valores iguais, foram os B20, B25 e B30 de soja et?lica e para o comportamento das emiss?es o quem foi mais favor?vel foi o B25 de soja pela rota met?lica, apesar da pouca diferen?a com as outras misturas estudadas.
