A study of management practices on broiler farms in British Columbia

The operators of a sample of 104 British Columbia broiler farms were questioned to obtain information concerning all aspects of their broiler rearing operation. The results contained
information on all aspects of brooding, feeding and watering, vaccination and medication and sanitation practices. The data thus obtained were compiled and the sample characterized.
The data were analysed to determine the relationship of the number of broilers reared to management practices. An evaluation of certain management practices was also carried out. / Land and Food Systems, Faculty of / Graduate
