Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico / The organic agriculture, in the last years, has been playing prominence part before to growing concern with subjects of environmental and social order, and the search for foods free from contamination for synthetic chemical agents. Another concern that became a constant in the current days concerns the maintainable development because it is necessary to assist to the needs of the present without committing the perspectives of the future generations assist their own needs. It was due to this reality that took place the present work, aiming at to measure and to analyze the sustainability of the organic soy in the area of Cotrimaio s inclusion. It was verified that Cotrimaio develops a project close to their associates, project this denominated Project Organic, where the Cooperative takes the responsibility for the technical orientation, certification and commercialization of the products produced by the participant farmers of the Project. For the development of this work the Method was used for Evaluation of Indicators of Organizational Sustainability - M.A.I.S.. The collection of the data was accomplished through documental analysis, visits and interviews accomplished the producers close to and also close to members of the Cooperative now mentioned. After the collection of data he/she happened the mensuration of the same ones in the indicators of each one of the sustainability dimensions set down by the method M.A.I.S.. The following step was the analysis of the obtained results where it was verified that the obtained punctuation demonstrated the framing in the sustainability strip, and the larger prominence happened in the dimensionof cultural sustainability, and in the dimension of economical sustainability, both been framed in the sustainability strip, already the dimensions of environmental and social sustainability were in the corresponding strip the search for the sustainability, deserving special attention. / A agricultura orgânica, nos últimos anos, tem desempenhado papel de destaque diante da crescente preocupação com questões de ordem ambiental e social, e a procura por alimentos livres de contaminação por agentes químicos sintéticos. Outra preocupação que transformou-se em uma constante nos dias atuais, diz respeito ao desenvolvimento sustentável, pois é preciso atender às necessidades do presente sem comprometer as perspectivas das gerações futuras atenderem às suas próprias necessidades. Foi diante desta realidade que se realizou o presente trabalho, objetivando mensurar e analisar a sustentabilidade da soja orgânica na região de abrangência da Cotrimaio. Verificou-se que a Cotrimaio desenvolve um projeto junto a seus associados, projeto este denominado Projeto Orgânicos, onde a Cooperativa responsabiliza-se pela orientação técnica, certificação e comercialização dos produtos produzidos pelos agricultores participantes do Projeto. Para o desenvolvimento deste trabalho utilizou-se o Método para Avaliação de Indicadores de Sustentabilidade Organizacional M.A.I.S.. A coleta dos dados foi realizada através de análise documental, visitas e entrevistas realizadas junto aos produtores e também junto a membros da Cooperativa ora citada. Após a coleta de dados, passou-se à mensuração dos mesmos nos indicadores de cada uma das dimensões de sustentabilidade preceituadas pelo método M.A.I.S.. O passo seguinte foi a análise dos resultados obtidos onde verificou-se que a pontuação obtida demonstrou o enquadramento na faixa de sustentabilidade, sendo que o destaque maior ocorreu na dimensão de sustentabilidade cultural e na dimensão de sustentabilidade econômica, ambas enquadrado-se na faixa de sustentabilidade; já as dimensões de sustentabilidade ambiental e social ficaram na faixa correspondente à busca pela sustentabilidade, merecendo especial atenção.
