Previous issue date: 2015-04-27 / This paper aims to analyze the impact of socialist feminist ideas for the work of social
workers who take part in movements with this kind. Therefore, we tried to rescue the history
of western urban feminism, as well as the struggle of women of left with the working class in
Europe and Latin America. In order to clarify the differences between the various shades of
feminism, it was necessary to refer to studies of Marx, Engels and others marxists, as regards
the question of oppression experienced by women in society. The brazilian feminism was
analyzed through its historical review present, especially, in Teles (1999) and Pinto (2003).
Also was realized a historical study of Social Work, focusing on his professional relationship
with the female gender. The milestone that changed the conservative performance of Social
Work with the users is in reconceptualization of the profession, when the category approached
to feminist demands and to poor and working women. From the reconceptualization and the
construction of a political ethical project, linked to a social project without exploitation and
oppression, the category s entities, especially the Federal Council of Social Service (Cfess),
began to prepare documents, talking about the issue of women and positioning themselves as
feminists, with a very prominent class perspective. Finally, was realized the analysis of the
interviews with the three surveyed social workers, in order to understand how the ideas
present in the feminism socialist has influenced their professional work, with the users, the
employing institutions and the work team. The analysis allowed understand the acquisitions
possibilited for professional work by the militancy / Este trabalho objetiva analisar a incidência do ideário feminista socialista para o trabalho
profissional de assistentes sociais que militam em movimentos com esse recorte. Para tanto,
resgata-se a história do feminismo urbano ocidental, bem como a luta das mulheres de
esquerda com a classe trabalhadora, na Europa e na América Latina. Visando esclarecer as
diferenças existentes entre os diversos matizes do feminismo, recorreu-se aos estudos de
Marx, Engels e outros marxistas, no que se refere à opressão vivenciada pelas mulheres na
sociedade. O feminismo brasileiro foi analisado mediante o seu resgate histórico, presente,
sobretudo, em Teles (1999) e Pinto (2003). Procedeu-se, ainda, a um estudo histórico sobre o
Serviço Social, com foco em sua relação profissional com o gênero feminino. O marco que
altera a atuação conservadora do Serviço Social direcionada aos/às usuários/as encontra-se na
reconceituação da profissão, a partir da qual a categoria se aproximou das demandas
feministas e das mulheres periféricas e trabalhadoras. Com a reconceituação e construção de
um projeto ético-político, articulado a um projeto societário sem exploração e opressão, as
entidades da categoria, sobretudo o Conselho Federal de Serviço Social (Cfess), começaram a
elaborar documentos, pautando a questão das mulheres e posicionando-se de forma feminista,
com uma perspectiva de classe bastante proeminente. Por fim, realizou-se a análise das
entrevistas com as três assistentes sociais pesquisadas, a fim de compreender se o ideário que
caracteriza essa vertente do feminismo influencia seu trabalho profissional, direcionado à
população atendida e ante as instituições empregadoras e a equipe de trabalho. A análise
permitiu compreender quais aquisições foram possibilitadas pela militância para o trabalho
profissional
