Previous issue date: 2006 / Resumo: A presente tese se constitui num estudo que enfoca estratégias de ensino com ênfase na pesquisa como base da formação inicial de profissionais da educação na perspectiva do professor-pesquisador. Trata-se de uma tendência que evidencia a formação de um professor que investiga sua própria prática. A discussão proposta está centrada no pensamento do educador Lawrence Stenhouse da década de 60 e 70. Considerando a complexidade do processo de formação inicial de professores procuramos avançar no referencial teórico com Carr e Kemmis, J. Elliott e Paulo Freire na compreensão da possibilidade de investigar o problema de pesquisa. A pesquisa aconteceu no contexto de um curso de Pedagogia tendo como lócus da investigação a disciplina Pesquisa Educacional na Prática Pedagógica I e II, por meio da qual desenvolvemos uma experiência muito singular com turmas ingressantes no referido curso nos anos de 2003 e 2004. Caracteriza-se como um estudo qualitativo com o objetivo de propor estratégias de ensino em que a pesquisa possa ocupar lugar central na formação inicial de profissionais da educação. Os dados apresentam contribuições significativas e revelam que a pesquisa é um encaminhamento metodológico importante para favorecer a formação de um profissional crítico, criativo que investiga sua própria prática, produz conhecimento em colaboração com seus alunos, despertando-os para a pesquisa / Abstract: The present thesis is constituted in a study that focuses strategies of education with emphasis in the research as base of the initial formation of professionals of the education in the perspective of the professor-researcher. One is about a trend that evidences the formation of a professor who investigates its proper practical one. The quarrel proposal is centered in the thought of the educator Lawrence Stenhouse of the decade of 60 and 70. Considering the complexity of the process of initial formation of professors we look for to advance in the theoretical referencial with Carr and Kemmis, J. Elliott and Pablo Freire in the understanding of the possibility to investigate the research's problem. The research happened in the context of a course of Pedagogia having as lócus of the inquiry disciplines it Educational Research in Practical the Pedagogical I and II, by means of which we very develop a singular experience with ingressantes groups in the related course in the years of 2003 and 2004. It is characterized as a qualitative study with the objective to consider education strategies where the research can occupy central place in the initial formation of professionals of the education. The data present significant contributions and disclose that the research is a guiding important to favor the formation of a critical professional, creative that investigates it's proper practical one, produce knowledge in contribution with it¿ s pupils, to wake them for the research / Doutorado / Doutor em Educação
