Com o objetivo de avaliar o tamanho de plantas, produção e qualidade de frutos da tangerina \'Fallglo\' [(C. reticulata Blanco x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco)] x (C. reticulata x C. sinensis L. Osbeck), tangerina \'Swatow\' (Citrus reticulata Blanco), tangor \'Ellendale\' (C. reticulata Blanco) x (C. sinensis L. Osbeck), tangerina \'Fortune\' (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. tangerina Hort. ex Tan.), tangelo \'Nova\' (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco), tangerina \'Fairchild\' (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco), tangerina \'Sunburst\' [C. clementina Hort. ex Tan. x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco)] x [C. clementina x (C. paradisi x C. reticulata Blanco)] e tangerina \'Fremont\' (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. reticulata Blanco) sobre os porta-enxertos limão \'Cravo\' (C. limonia Osbeck), citrumelo \'Swingle\' (P. trifoliata Raf. x C. paradisi Macf.), tangerina \'Cleópatra\' (Citrus reshni Hort. ex Tan.) e tangelo \'Orlando\' (C. reticulata Blanco x C. paradisi Macf.), foi instalado um experimento em Bebedouro, SP em 1997. Na maioria dos cultivares e híbridos, não se registraram diferenças na produção acumulada, eficiência de produção e índice de alternância em função dos porta-enxertos. As árvores sobre tangelo \'Orlando\', tangerina \'Cleópatra\' e limão \'Cravo\' foram mais vigorosas, do que aquelas sobre o citrumelo \'Swingle\'. Maiores conteúdos de sólidos solúveis e acidez total foram de frutos produzidos em árvores sobre citrumelo \'Swingle\' e tangerina \'Cleópatra\' representando boas opções para diversificar os porta-enxertos em tangerinas. / An experiment was installed in Bebedouro, SP, Brazil in 1997, with the objective to evaluate the effect of rootstocks \'Rangpur\' lime (C. limonia Osbeck), \'Swingle\' citrumelo (P. trifoliata Raf. x C. paradisi Macf.), \'Cleopatra\' mandarin (Citrus reshni Hort. ex Tan.) and \'Orlando\' tangelo (C. reticulata Blanco x C. paradisi Macf.) on growth, yield and fruit quality of \'Fallglo\' mandarin [(C. reticulata Blanco x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco)] x (C. reticulata x C. sinensis L. Osbeck), \'Swatow\' mandarin (Citrus reticulata Blanco), \'Ellendale\' tangor (C. reticulata Blanco) x (C. sinensis L. Osbeck), \'Fortune\' mandarin (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. tangerina Hort. ex Tan.), \'Nova\' tangelo (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco), \'Fairchild\' mandarin (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco), \'Sunburst\' mandarin [C. clementina Hort. ex Tan. x (C. paradisi Macf. x C. reticulata Blanco)] x [C. clementina x (C. paradisi x C. reticulata Blanco)] and \'Fremont\' mandarin (C. clementina Hort. ex Tan.) x (C. reticulata Blanco). In the majority of the cultivar and hybrids, differences in the cumulative yield, yield efficiency and alternate bearing index had not been registered in function of the rootstocks. The largest trees were on \'Orlando\' tangelo, \'Cleopatra\' mandarin and \'Rangpur\' lime, while those on \'Swingle\' citrumelo were smallest trees. Fruit from trees on \'Swingle\' citrumelo and \'Cleopatra\' mandarin had the highest soluble solids and total acids concentrations, representing good options to diversify the rootstocks in mandarins.
