A pesquisa analisa os processos de engajamento, organização e participação política de jovens militantes do movimento Hip Hop, tendo por objetivo compreender de que modo as marcas identitárias operam no modo de fazer política na vida social cotidiana. Foram realizadas investidas etnográficas junto a militantes do Movimento entre 2005 a 2013. A observação concentra-se nos processos que levaram à criação do Fórum Permanente do Hip Hop Gaúcho, em 2010, na cidade de Porto Alegre - RS. A abordagem teórica considera o Hip Hop como uma invenção (WAGNER, 2012) que produz a unidade englobante (VELHO, 2003), promotora de identidades, crenças e valores, cujos mitos e narrativas em torno da linguagem e instituições configuram sentimentos de pertencimento. O cruzamento entre o trabalho teórico construtivo e o material empírico recolhido permitiu criar um quadro de referência, a partir do qual foi possível destacar o caráter estrutural das ações práticas dos interlocutores nos processos de participação política e democrática. Observou-se que o Movimento Hip Hop funciona como ponto de referência na regulação de comportamentos, estilos de vida e visões de mundo compartilhadas. É também uma forma de fazer política nas diversas esferas da vida social, como forma dinâmica de ampliação e manutenção das redes de relações sociais e projetos de vidas compromissados com laços de solidariedade e resistência. / This survey analyzes the processes of involvement, organization and political participation of young militants of the Hip Hop movement. It aims at understanding how the identity brands operate in the way of doing politics in everyday social life. The ethnography was developed with the activists of the movement between 2005 to 2013. The observation focuses on the processes that led to the creation of the “Permanent Forum of Gaúcho Hip Hop”, in Porto Alegre, 2010. Our theoretical approach considers Hip Hop as an invention (WAGNER, 2012) which produces the unit encompassing (VELHO, 2003), creates and promotes identities, beliefs and values, whose myths and narratives about the language and institutions configure the feeling of belonging. The crossing between the constructive theoretical work and the empirical material collected allowed the creation of a reference framework from which it was possible to highlight the structural character of the practical actions of the partners in the processes of political and democratic participation. It was observed that the Hip Hop Movement acts as a reference point in the regulation of behaviors, lifestyles and shared views of the world. It is also a way of doing politics in the different spheres of social life, as a dynamic way of expansion and maintenance of the networks of social relations and life projects committed with solidarity and resistance ties.
