Previous issue date: 2011-09-13 / The present study on social policy Migrant Care, held in the city of Uberlândia (MG),
is the object of research the life situation of the migrant population, which moves this
city requiring public funds to continue their journeys. Therefore, this study aims
toknow, understand, reflect and analyze the situation of the migrant brazilian
population. As well as understand the public policies of assistance to these people
under the capitalist system. The subjects of this research are the users of the Center
for Migrant Service (NAM) of Uberlândia. The motivation to undertake this study is
linked to my everyday experience, as a social worker, active in the direct care to the
migrant. And the need to reflect the life situation of these people, together with the
social programs developed by the Federal, state and county. Migration analyzed in
this work is an expression of social issues, as demonstrated in the historical
perspective, in which workers are unable to enjoy their human rights such as
employment, housing, health, among others, moving to various locations in the
country in search of better life conditions. This work is organized into three chapters,
the first deals with the migration as an expression of social issues. The second
examines the social policy focused on answering the migrant. The third reflects the
profile of migrants passing through the NAM, based on documents from the
institution and in the transcription of 32 interviews with semi-structured script. It is
observed that 81.28% of migrants who pass the core are in search of employment.
This demonstrates the exclusive face of the capitalist system and inequality in Brazil. / O presente estudo sobre a Política Social de Atendimento ao Migrante, realizado no
Município de Uberlândia (MG), tem como objeto de pesquisa a situação de vida da
população migrante, que transita nesse município necessitando de recursos públicos
para continuar seus deslocamentos. Para tanto, este trabalho tem como objetivo
conhecer, entender, refletir e analisar a situação de vida da população migrante
brasileira, bem como compreender as políticas públicas de atendimento a esses
cidadãos, no âmbito do sistema capitalista. Os sujeitos dessa pesquisa são os
usuários do Núcleo de Atendimento ao Migrante (NAM) de Uberlândia. A motivação
para realizar esse estudo encontra-se vinculada à minha experiência profissional
cotidiana, como assistente social, atuante no atendimento direto ao migrante. E a
necessidade de refletir a situação de vida desses cidadãos, junto aos programas
sociais desenvolvidos pela União, estado e Município. A migração analisada nesse
trabalho é uma expressão da questão social, demonstrada sob a perspectiva
histórica, na qual os trabalhadores são impossibilitados de usufruir dos direitos
humanos tais como, trabalho, habitação, saúde, dentre outros, deslocando-se para
diversas localidades no território nacional, em busca de melhores condições de vida.
Esse trabalho está organizado em três capítulos, o primeiro aborda a migração
enquanto expressão da questão social. O segundo analisa a política social voltada
ao atendimento do migrante. O terceiro reflete o perfil do migrante que passa pelo
NAM, com base nos documentos dessa Instituição e na transcrição das 32
entrevistas, com roteiro semi-estruturado. Observa-se que 81,28% dos migrantes
que passam no Núcleo estão em busca de trabalho e emprego. Essa situação
demonstra a face excludente do sistema capitalista e as desigualdades no Brasil.
