Diversos estudios previos han demostrado que algunos aspectos de la moralidad tienen correlaciones positivas con indicadores de comportamiento inmoral. El objetivo de esta investigación fue examinar cómo los rasgos de la Tríada Oscura de la personalidad (Psicopatía, Narcisismo y Maquiavelismo) se relacionan con diferentes dominios morales. La Escala de la Tríada Oscura (SD3) y el Cuestionario de los Fundamentos Morales (MFQ-30) fueron traducidos y adaptados en una muestra peruana (N = 600). Las propiedades psicométricas fueron evaluadas utilizando el análisis factorial exploratorio y confirmatorio, sugiriendo que un modelo de tres factores para el SD3 y uno de dos factores para el MFQ-30, proporcionan el mejor ajuste. Asimismo, los resultados muestran que la psicopatía está asociada negativamente con Cuidado, Justicia y Lealtad, y el maquiavelismo está negativamente relacionado con Cuidado y Lealtad. Implicaciones para las teorías clásicas de la moralidad e investigaciones futuras se discuten.
Previous work have shown that some aspects of morality have positive correlations with indicators of immoral behavior. The aim of this study was to examine how the Dark Triad traits (Psychopathy, Narcissism and Machiavellianism) are related to different moral domains. The Short Dark Triad (SD3) and The Moral Foundations Questionnaire (MFQ-30) were translated and adapted in a peruvian example (N=600). The psychometric properties were tested using exploratory and confimatory factor analysis, suggesting that a three-factor solution for the SD3 and a two-factor solution for the MFQ-30 provided the best fit. Furthermore, results indicated that psychopathy is negatively associated with Care, Fairness and Loyalty, and Machiavellianism is negativily linked to Care and Loyalty. Implications for classical theories of moral behavior and future research are discussed.
