En esta tesis, realizaré un análisis de tres películas: La clase del director Laurent
Cantet, La vida escolar de los directores Mehdi Idir y Grand Corps Malade, y el cortometraje
Alondra dirigido por los hermanos Daniel y Diego Vega. Considero que estas permiten
reflexionar en torno al fracaso del sistema educativo en su objetivo como institución
formativa de futuros ciudadanos. Estos filmes introducen una crítica hacia aquellas prácticas
pedagógicas que fallan en reconocer los contextos diferenciados de las y los estudiantes, y
tratarlos de manera equitativa. Asimismo, dan cuenta de prácticas deshumanizadas de una
escuela absorbida por un aparato burocrático inconexo con las necesidades de los estudiantes.
Para abordar este estudio, me enfocaré en la escuela, en el contexto y la falta de coherencia
en el sistema educativo, de acuerdo con el orden de las películas elegidas. A partir de teoría
crítica de autores como Zygmaunt Bauman, Michel Foucault, Raymond Williams, Judith
Butler, entre otros, sostengo que las películas reflejan los antagonismos del sistema educativo
que, a pesar de procesos de modernización de los últimos años y del auge de nuevas corrientes
pedagógicas y algunos aciertos por parte de las instituciones responsables, conserva ciertas
prácticas cuestionables. / This tesis analyses three films: Entre les murs by director Laurent Cantet, La Vie
scolaire by directors Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade, and the short film Alondra directed
by brothers Daniel and Diego Vega. I argue that these films portray the failure of the
educational system as an institution responsible for creating a learning environment for future
citizens. These films critique those pedagogical practices that fail to recognise the
differentiated contexts of students and to treat them equally. They also reveal the
dehumanised practices of a school absorbed by a bureaucratic apparatus that is disconnected
from the needs of the students. To approach this study, I will focus on the school, the context
and the lack of coherence in the educational system. Based on the critical theory of authors
such as Zygmaunt Bauman, Michel Foucault, Raymond Williams, Judith Butler, among
others, I argue that the films reflect the antagonisms of the educational system which, despite
the modernisation processes of recent years and the rise of new pedagogical currents,
reproduce questionable practices.
