Previous issue date: 2014-08-25 / O processo de reestrutura??o produtiva provocou v?rias mudan?as no mundo do trabalho desde a d?cada de 1970. No Brasil essas mudan?as foram mais significativas durante os anos de 1990, com a implementa??o das pol?ticas neoliberais e a submiss?o do pa?s as determina??es do FMI e do Banco Mundial. Nesse contexto, ganha express?o o aumento do desemprego estrutural e o crescimento da informalidade como pr?tica atenuante da falta de emprego formal. Na atualidade a atividade de mototaxista tem crescido em munic?pios de pequeno, m?dio e grande porte do pa?s. Em Caic?/RN, assim como em outros munic?pios brasileiros, esta atividade vem se apresentando como uma alternativa de subsist?ncia em face do crescente desemprego. Considerando ser esta uma atividade prec?ria e de risco, nos questionamos sobre quais as condi??es de sa?de do trabalhador mototaxista no munic?pio de Caic? no contexto da precariza??o do trabalho? Qual a percep??o que este trabalhador tem acerca do processo sa?de-doen?a e da rela??o desta com o seu trabalho? Como se configura o acesso dos mototaxistas ao direito a sa?de e a previd?ncia social? A pesquisa buscou analisar as condi??es da sa?de do trabalhador mototaxista do munic?pio de Caic?/RN no contexto da precariza??o do trabalho. Do ponto de vista metodol?gico o estudo trabalhou com a pesquisa bibliogr?fica, documental, a entrevista semiestruturada e question?rio com quest?es abertas e fechadas junto a uma amostra da popula??o de mototaxistas do munic?pio, no per?odo de agosto a setembro de 2013. O resultado revelou que estes trabalhadores encontram-se expostos constantemente a diversos riscos inerentes ? profiss?o, bem como ao espa?o no qual este profissional exerce suas atividades, neste caso o tr?nsito, sendo os acidentes no tr?nsito e a viol?ncia urbana um dos maiores riscos identificados pelos mototaxistas no presente estudo. / The restructuring process has caused several changes in the workplace since the
1970s in Brazil these changes were more significant during the 1990s, with the
implementation of neoliberal policies and the submission of the country's
determinations of the IMF and World Bank . In this context, expression wins the
increase in structural unemployment and the growth of informality as a mitigating
practice the lack of formal employment. At present the activity of mototaxi driver has
grown in the municipalities of small, medium and large size of the country. In Caic? /
RN, as well as other municipalities, this activity has been presented as an alternative
livelihood in the face of rising unemployment. Considering that this is a precarious
and risky activity, we wondered about which health conditions of workers in the
municipality of mototaxi driver Caic? in the context of job insecurity? What is the
perception that this employee has about the health-disease process and its
relationship to your work? How to setup the access of motorcycle taxi drivers the right
to health and social security? The research sought to examine the health conditions
of the workers of the municipality of mototaxi driver Caic? / RN in the context of job
insecurity. From the methodological point of view the study worked with documentary
research, semi-structured interview and questionnaire with open and closed
questions with a sample population of motorcycle taxi drivers of the city, in the period
August-September 2013 The results revealed that these workers are if constantly
exposed to various risks inherent to the profession as well as the space in which it
conducts its business activities, in this case the traffic being traffic accidents and
urban violence one of the greatest risks identified by motorcycle taxi drivers in the
present study
