This work analyzes and systematizes the effects that the increasing amount of cargo import and export of the European ports of Hamburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven and Koper have on the traffic in the hinterland infrastructure. Growing transactions at the ports, as well as the increase of cargo transport distribution has had a profound effect on the cargo traffic and infrastructure of Germany, Slovenia, Czech Republik, Slovak Republik, Hungary and Austria as well as other countries whose highways and rail tracks are being employed daily by transactions originating at these sea ports.(...)
