El presente trabajo de investigación muestra los significados del Cuidado desde la Perspectiva Transcultural, que tienen las enfermeras que laboran en los consultorios de Crecimiento y Desarrollo de los Centros de Salud de la Dirección de Salud V Lima-Ciudad. Tuvo como objetivos conocer el significado del cuidado desde la perspectiva Transcultural, caracterizar el cuidado que brindan las enfermeras y analizar la relación entre ambos. Como sustento teórico fue enmarcado dentro de la teoría de Madeleine Leininger. En este estudio participaron diez enfermeras que laboraban en los consultorios de Crecimiento y Desarrollo; las técnicas para la recogida de datos fueron la observación participante, la entrevista no estructurada y la revisión documentada (en este caso de la historia clínica en la que se observo la anotación realizada por la enfermera luego de la atención a cada niño). El tipo de estudio, fue cualitativo, con un enfoque etnográfico. Los datos obtenidos fueron codificados y categorizados, el análisis se realizo en función a la triangulación de todo la información que al final sirvió para la construcción de un tema, que fue: Cuidado Transcultural “mucho se dice, poco se hace”, el cual contiene las siguientes categorías y subcategorías correspondientes: “atención a un ser complejo en base a su cultura”, “para cuidar conocer la cultura de la madre”, “un cuidado que permite la atención integral”, “una atención con flexibilidad cultural”, “no esta presente como debería estar”, ”valorizando cuanto y no como se atiende”, “el cuidado del otro”. El tema y estas subcategorías revelan la realidad del proceso de cuidar en el Componente Crecimiento y Desarrollo (CRED), por enfermeras que tienen una concepción distinta de lo que en la práctica realizan. La realidad del cuidado en CRED es “lo que se hace”, lo ideal del cuidado es “lo que se dice”. Palabras Claves: Cuidado Transcultural. Significado de cuidado. Cuidado del niño. Enfermería Pediátrica. Investigación Etnográfica / The present work of investigation shows the meaning of the Care from the Transcultural Perspective, that has the nurses who toil in the doctor's offices of Growth and Development of the Centers of Health of the Direction of Health V File-City. It had like objectives to know the meaning the care from the Transcultural perspective, to characterize the care that the nurses offer and to analyze the relation between both. As theoretical sustenance were framed within the theory of Madeleine Leininger. In this study ten nurses participated who toiled in the doctor's offices of Growth and Development; the techniques for the collection of data were the participant observation, the interview nonstructured and the documented revision (in this case of clinical history in which I am observed the annotation made by the nurse after the attention each boy). The type of study, was qualitative, with an ethnographic approach. The collected data were codified and categorizados, the analysis I am made in function to the triangulation of all the information that in the end was used for the construction of a subject, that it was: Well-taken care of Transcultural “mucho is said, little is made”, which contains the following categories and corresponding subcategories: “atención to a complex being on the basis of its culture”, “para to take care of to know the culture the mother”, “un taken care of that allows the integral attention”, “una attention with cultural flexibility”, “no this present one as it would have to be”, “valorizando whatever and not as it is taken care of”, “el taken care of of the other”. The subject and these subcategories reveal the reality of the process to take care of in the Component Growth and Desarrollo (CRED), by nurses who have a conception different from which actually they make.
