Influence of Organizational Knowledge Management Capability on Decision Performance

This research investigates the correlation between organizational knowledge management capabilities, perceived decision process attributes and decision performance. This study provides preliminary evidence that organizational knowledge creating capability serves as a foundation for research of decision performance in the organization.
Through manipulation of organizational decision simulation system and verifiable weekly reports, we gather data of organizational decision performance from simulation system and related measurements of organizational knowledge management capabilities and decision process attributes from weekly reports respectively. Significant positive influences existed between organizational knowledge creating capability and decision performance. Besides, organizational knowledge sharing capability mediates the influence from organizational knowledge retaining & capturing capability to that of organizational knowledge creating capability. Discussions and improvement recommendations are provided on promoting organizational decision performance based on knowledge management capabilities and perceived decision process attributes to the empirical results.
