Previous issue date: 2001-06-18 / Este trabalho é o produto de um projeto de pesquisa que visa repassar aos pesquisadores que já atuam ou irão atuar em ambientes ricos em tecnologias de informação. Para isto, foram propostos os seguintes objetivos: desenvolver um sistema computacional educativo para o treinamento de pessoal e para a realização de projetos na área de pós-colheita, considerando os aspectos relativos à qualidade do sistema, com base nas normas de qualidade da série ISO 9000 e avaliar o sistema comparando-se o aprendizado dos alunos treinados com a sua utilização e os treinados por meio de metodologias tradicionais. O trabalho realizado é uma continuidade das pesquisas relacionadas ao curso de mestrado, e tem como produto principal o sistema computacional denominado Aplicativo Básico de Armazenamento. Doravante será referido simplesmente como ABA, sendo composto de módulos relativos aos tópicos que compõem o programa de ensino em pós-colheita de produtos agrícolas. O ABA se complementa com a documentação necessária ao suporte aos usuários e o material didático de pós-colheita de produtos agrícolas, além desta tese, na qual se encontram os fundamentos metodológicos da pesquisa realizada. Por se tratar de um instrumento pedagógico, a utilização do sistema computacional foi testada numa amostragem de alunos dos cursos de engenharia agrícola da Universidade Federal de Viçosa - UFV e da Universidade Federal de Lavras - UFLA. Não é proposto neste trabalho o discurso da avaliação ou comparação da sociedade da informação em relação à sociedade industrial, nem qual é o papel da faculdade de engenharia dentro desse novo modo de estruturação e concepção das relações aluno-professor. Nesse sentido, não se busca a visão da relação entre educação e tecnologia, a propósito dos defeitos e vícios apontados no atual modelo educacional: processo desligado da vida do educando, massificado, dependente de prêmios e castigos e a passividade do educando. O uso da informática no ensino, como qualquer tecnologia da informação, funciona como extensão dos livros didáticos, na medida em que amplia a capacidade da sua mente ao acesso de modo rápido e organizado ao armazenamento e transmissão das informações, muito melhor do que a retenção de informações na memória. E a utilização do computador traduz numa redução de trabalho escolar, aumentando o tempo para outras atividades como a pesquisa. Mas, a aprendizagem não é apenas o acúmulo de informações, é sobretudo o questionamento que incentiva a metabolização de tudo o que chega à mente. Mesmo admitindo a possibilidade excepcional do autodidatismo, não há como negar que o ambiente escolar formador do pensamento crítico é necessário, por meio do contato presencial indispensável para a educação, enriquecido cada vez mais com a comunicação virtual. O ambiente escolar não se constrói apenas com informações, mas fundamentalmente com posturas e trocas de idéias. Assim, este trabalho propõe o desenvolvimento de um sistema computacional para auxiliar o ensino, ampliando as funções dos professores de uma área específica da engenharia e não a substituição da ação docente, mesmo sabendo da resistência ao uso de computadores na educação formal. Isto ocorre devido não ao conservadorismo dos professores, mas sim à falta de tempo, recursos e conhecimentos, que levam à indisposição da aprendizagem do uso do computador, enquanto se observa que a educação não-formal é menos resistente à utilização dessa tecnologia. / This work is the product of a research project that seeks to review the researchers that already act or they will act in rich atmospheres in technologies of information. For this, the following objectives were proposed: to develop an educational software for personnel's training and for the accomplishment of projects in the powder-crop area, considering the relative aspects to the quality of the software, with base in the norms of quality of the series ISO 9000 and to evaluate the software being compared the students' learning with your use and other, trained them through traditional methodologies. The accomplished work is a continuity of the researches related to the master's degree course, and he/she has as main product the system computacional denominated Basic Application of Storage. From now on it will simply be referred as ABA, being composed of relative modules to the topics that compose the teaching program in powder-crop of agricultural products. The ABA is complemented with the necessary documentation to the support to the users and the didactic material of powder-crop of agricultural products, besides this thesis, in the which you/they are the methodological foundations of the accomplished research. For treatin g of a pedagogic instrument, the use of the system computacional was tested in a sampling of students of the courses of agricultural engineering of the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV and of the Federal University of Lavras- UFLA. It is not proposed in this work the speech of the evaluation or comparison of the society of the information in relation to the industrial society, nor which is inside the paper of the engineering university of that new structuring way and the relationships student-teacher's conception. In that sense, the vision of the relationship is not looked for between education and technology, concerning the defects and pointed addictions in the current educational model: turned off process of the student's life, influenced, dependent of prizes and punishments and the student's passivity. The use of the computer science in the teaching, as any technology of the information, works as extension of the text books, in the measure in that it enlarges the capacity of your mind to the access in a fast and organized way to the storage and transmission of the information, much better than the retention of information in the memory. And the use of the computer translates in a reduction of school work, increasing the time for other activities as the research. But the learning is not just the accumulation of information, it is above all the questionably that motivates the metabolize of everything that arrives to the mind. Same admitting the exceptional possibility of the solemnity didacticism, there is not as denying that the atmosphere school formally of the critical thought is necessary, through the contact indispensable presently for the education, enriched more and more with the virtual communication. The school atmosphere is not just built with information, but fundamentally with postures and changes of ideas. Like this, this work proposes the development of a software to aid the teaching, enlarging the teachers' of a specific area of the engineering functions and not the substitution of the action educational, same knowing from the resistance to the use of computers in the formal education, not owed to the teachers' conservatism, but, due to lack of time, resources and knowledge, that take the indisposition of the learning of the use of the computer, while it is observed that the no-formal education is less resistant the use of that technology. / Tese importada do Alexandria
