There are many different pests that thrives in the homes of Sweden. These pests can be found in small homes, apartments and public buildings. In this study all the different pests that has been decontaminated and exterminated by Anticimex in buildings in Uppsala these last three years will be looked into. With help of past studies and theses statistics, the pests could be listed and be determined which pest is more dangerous and causes more damage to the building. During this study the result became very clear, both rats and mice are the pests among the common ones that can be potentially dangerous to the building. Rats and mice can cause irreversible damage which is very problematic and important to know as a property owner. This study made one thing very clear, both rats and mice was found to be one of the most common pests in the buildings. These pests where also found to be the most dangerous to these buildings which is why the results are important to insurance companies, homeowners, property owners and pest control companies.
