Previous issue date: 2018-02-09 / Among the techniques used for assessing candidates for positions in companies, or to evaluate professionals who are seeking professional guidance are personality and vocational interest measurement instruments. This exploratory study was designed to investigate the psychometric properties of a tool known as the Professional Skills Profile, PHP2, the construction of which was based on the Marston DISC theory and that is available on the Internet. Data was collected via the www.projetopersona.com.br website, which was specially designed for this purpose. In addition to the PHP2 questionnaire, professionals responded to the following scales: Reduced Markers for Personality Assessment in the Five-Factor Model, Vocational Interests Scale, and the Work Wellbeing Scale. The sample consisted of 976 participants, the majority of whom were female (65.5%) with a mean age of 34.47 years (SD = 10.15 years). Low to moderate, positive and negative correlations were found between the ?PHP2 skills?, ?personality types? and ?professional interests? constructs, indicating that they are related, but do not overlap. Complementary studies are indicated for continuing to pursue an understanding of the results presented and to expand discussions on the subject. / Entre as t?cnicas utilizadas para avaliar candidatos a posi??es abertas em empresas ou para avaliar profissionais que buscam orienta??o profissional est?o os instrumentos de medidas de personalidade e interesses vocacionais.
