Previous issue date: 2010-02-26 / This dissertation aims to analyze the identities of the workers employed in the experiences of solidarity economy. This goal is justified by necessity, more and more frequent, to know and understand the new structuring of the working world, where the solidarity economy falls. The study was done in cooperatives and associations of cities of Goiania-GO and Campinas-SP. Started from the assumption that the principles governing these initiatives, especially the self-management, solidarity and democracy, would be important elements in the constitution of new identitie8s. The studie starts pointing a few remarks about the changing world of work, the informality and the debate around the concept of solidarity economy, its historical emergence and, moreover, how these work innovative initiatives are set in Brazil. The analysis of identity is made in the light of the theoretical framework of some authors of the school of symbolic interaction, which conceive of identity as the result of processes of social interaction in which individuals are embedded. Therefore, sustain the dynamic character of identity. The dissertation highlights the theoretical observations of Claude Dubar, who understands the construction of identity in a relational perspective. In other words, it takes place through the interweaving of their own self-definitions and assignments of the companions of interaction. Based on interviews with workers, it sought to develop a characterization of them as well as their perceptions and assimilations made possible by the work. The data analyzed did not indicate significant differences with regard to the appropriation of workers in both cities, however, shows a significant difference, namely the difference in the involvement of local government to enable the development of solidarity economy in these cities. Moreover, it was revealed the absence of a democratic identity and self-management. However, observed significant changes in the lives of workers and evidence of the emergence of a collective identity / Esta dissertação tem como objetivo analisar as identidades dos trabalhadores inseridos nas experiências de economia solidária. Tal objetivo se justifica pela necessidade, cada vez mais constante, de se conhecer e compreender as novas estruturações do mundo do trabalho, no qual a economia solidária se inscreve. O estudo foi feito em cooperativas e associações das cidades de Goiânia-GO e Campinas-SP. Partiu-se do pressuposto de que os princípios que regem estas iniciativas, sobretudo a autogestão, a solidariedade e a democracia, seriam elementos importantes na constituição de novas identidades. A dissertação tem como ponto de partida algumas observações sobre as transformações no mundo do trabalho, sobre a informalidade, bem como sobre o debate em torno do conceito de economia solidária, sua emergência histórica e a forma como essas inovadoras iniciativas de trabalho têm se configurado no Brasil. A análise da identidade parte de algumas contribuições teóricas que concebem a identidade como fruto dos processos de interação social, enfatizando seu caráter dinâmico. A dissertação destaca as observações teóricas de Claude Dubar, que entende a construção da identidade de maneira relacional, ou seja, ela se dá mediante o imbricamento entre as próprias autodefinições e as atribuições dos companheiros de interação. A partir das entrevistas com os trabalhadores, buscou-se construir uma caracterização dos cooperados, bem como suas percepções e assimilações possibilitadas pelo trabalho. Os dados analisados não assinalam diferenças significativas no que diz respeito às apropriações dos trabalhadores nas duas cidades. Contudo, apontam uma diferença significativa, qual seja, a diferença do envolvimento do poder público local no sentido de viabilizar o desenvolvimento da economia solidária nas referidas cidades. Além disso, foi possível perceber a ausência de uma identidade autogestionária e democrática. Todavia, observou-se mudanças significativas na vida dos trabalhadores e indícios da emergência de uma identidade coletiva.
