O desenvolvimento da pesquisa e a elaboração do Kit que agrupa o material para a realização das atividades propostas, nortearam-se pela revisão e análise de literatura específica sobre as diretrizes que orientam o sistema educacional brasileiro, nesses níveis: os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais e em propostas sugeridas em livros didáticos, utilizados em algumas instituições de ensino. Elaborou-se um material didático que envolve várias atividades práticas tais como experimentos, manuseio de amostras de solo, montagem de quebra-cabeças, construção de maquete, pranchas ilustrativas e um manual do professor. A forma de aplicação do material é sucintamente descrita. Algumas atividades propostas foram experimentadas em três diferentes situações de ensino-aprendizagem; os resultados encontram-se em capítulo específico. / A didactic proposal of construction of the knowledge of the content soils in the Fundamental and Medium Teaching, starting from practical activities that contain the basic beginnings of specific, constitution, structuring, ordination and function that compose the soil concept. The development of the research and the elaboration of the Kit that form into groups the material for the accomplishment of the proposed activities, were orientated by the revision and analysis of specific literature on the guidelines that guide the Brazilian educational system, in those levels: the teaching National Parameters and in proposal suggested in text books, used in some teaching institutions. A didactic material was elaborated that involves several practical activities such as experiments, handling of soil samples, assembly of puzzles, model construction, illustrative boards and a teacher-guide teacher. The form of application of the material is described succinctly. Some proposed activities were experienced in three different teaching-learning situations; the results are in specific chapter.
