The diploma thesis deals with the proposal of the timbered buildings. In the proposal of log house is used glued massive profiles in order to meet the requirements for thermal protection of buildings. The massive composition is complemented by layer of heat insulation. In the first part of diploma thesis is devoted to the problems of solid wood house and the general information on the thermal properties of buildings. In the practical part of this thesis variants of peripheral walls are designed and these walls are compared according to preselected criteria between each other. The selected wall is processed by the drawing documentation and calculation of the energy performance of the building is done in the program ENERGY.
