Stuart Cloete: His life and works

"In assembling the information necessary for a study of a writer such as Stuart Cloete, a neophyte librarian will not only become better acquainted with the life and work of a well-known author but will also gain a useful working knowledge of the major reference tools found in most libraries. Thus, the purpose of this paper is to bring together the available biographical and bibliographical materials concerning Stuart Cloete, his life and work. The first part of the paper will consist of an account of Stuart Cloete's life.
