Over the past few years, the price for lumber has increased significantly for various reasons such as the covid-19 pandemic. This means that companies related to both construction and lumber business will be affacted. The supply chain was disturbed with long delivery times and lack of people being able to transport due to sickness from the covid-19 and different restrictions. The emperical findings for this thesis have been acquired by using a qualitative research strategy and conducting different interviews with companies related to the research and working in the lumber industry. Furthermore, the authors have used abductive approach. The conclusion for this thesis shows that companies will adapt after any crisis and that it is hard to plan for something that is unproducible such as a pandemic
