Molntjänster är en trend som påverkar kundorganisationer i allt större utsträckning ochanses vara framtiden för hur IT-tjänster konsumeras. Tidigare studier visar på åtskilligautmaningar med molnbaserade affärssystem. Dessa utmaningar behandlar främstkundorganisationer och affärssystem samt berör aspekter såsom funktionalitet,kostnader och anpassning. Något som är mindre utforskat är hur IT-konsulters rollförändras av den tekniska utvecklingen där affärssystem blir allt mer molnbaserade.Studiens syfte har därför varit att ta fram rekommendationer för hur utmaningar medmolnbaserade affärssystem kan hanteras av IT-konsulter. Med hjälp av en datadriventematisk analys har flera utmaningar för IT-konsulter identifierats. Studiens slutsatserhar bidragit med rekommendationer kring följande teman av utmaningar: Kundorganisationers behov och integration; Kompetensutveckling; Kommunikation;Digitala plattformar och Systemleverantörsrelation. De olika utmaningarna hanteras påmånga olika sätt. Bland annat kan IT-konsulter skriva servicenivåavtal medsystemleverantören för att säkerställa tillgång till delar i affärssystemet de anser varanödvändiga. De behöver också vara medvetna om nya tekniker såsom low-codeutvecklingsverktyg. Enligt studien har IT-konsulter en förändrad roll att inta framöver iarbetet med molnbaserade affärssystem. / Cloud services is a trend that increasingly affects customer organizations and isconsidered to be the future of how IT services will be consumed. Previous studies showseveral challenges with cloud-based ERP systems. These challenges mostly concern oncustomer organizations, ERP systems and aspects such as functionality, costs andcustomization. What is less explored, are what implications the digital development,where ERP systems are increasingly becoming cloud-based has for IT consultants. Thepurpose of this study has therefore been to provide recommendations for how ITconsultants can handle the challenges that cloud-based ERP systems create. By using adata-driven thematic analysis, several challenges that IT consultants face have beenidentified. The conclusions of the study have contributed with recommendations on thefollowing categories of challenges: Customer organizations needs and integration;Competence development; Communication; Digital platforms and System vendorrelationship. The different challenges are handled in several different ways. Forinstance, IT-consultants can sign Service Level Agreements with the system vendor toensure access to parts of the Cloud-based ERP they consider necessary. They also needto be aware of new technologies such as low-code development tools. According to thestudy, the role of IT consultants will change due to cloud-based ERP systems.
