Orientador: Ana Maria Freire da Palma Marques de Almeida / Banca: João Cardoso Palma Filho / Banca: Jonas Gonçalves Coelho / Banca: Iria Brzezinski / Banca: Maria Nazaré da Cruz / Resumo: A tese aqui apresentada, descreve o processo de criação, implantação, desenvolvimento e análise dos depoimentos de participantes do curso: "Encontro de Idéias: experiências vivenciadas na Rede Municipal de Ensino do Município de Bauru-SP".Questiona a possibilidade de melhorar a qualidade de ensino e aprendizagem, através de atividades que promovam o intercâmbio de experiências pedagógicas bem sucedidas (ou não) e também refletir sobre o uso social das mesmas com professores da Unidade Escolar onde trabalham, assim como, com outras Unidades Escolares de diferentes modalidades de ensino.Rever a trajetória histórica da profissão de professor e investigar as mudanças sociais que interferem no ambiente escolar e na representação social do papel do professor, caracterizam os procedimentos iniciais deste trabalho.Por tratar-se de uma experiência voltada à valorização da prática docente e sua relação com a questão da formação de professores, envolveu a discussão crítica de conceitos presentes no discurso educativo, entre estes, qualidade, competência e saber; assim como, uma reflexão sobre a profissão e formação docente. / Abstract: The Thesis here presented describes the creation, introduction and development of the course " Gathering of Ideas: experiences lived in the Municipal Net of Education in Bauru, São Paulo state, Brazil, with an analysis of the participants statements. It questions the possibility of an improvement in the quality of the teaching and learning process through activities that promote the exchange of successful (or not) pedagogical experiments. It also refletcs upon the social uses of those experiments with teachers working at their School Units, as well as dialogues with other School Units of different modalities of teaching. This thesis also reviews the historical route of the teacher profession and investigates the social changes that influence on the school environment and on the social representation of the teacher's role. These approaches characterize the initial procedures of this paper. As it is an experiment that aims a rise in value of the teaching practice and its relation with the teachers' formation issue, it involves the critical discussion about the concepts present in the educative speech, among them, quality, competence and knowledge. It also provides a reflection on the teacher's profession and formation. / Doutor
