Ce projet propose d’utiliser Internet et les technologies de l’information pour adapter la technique du théâtreforum du Théâtre de l’Opprimé d’Augusto Boal (1974) au monde numérique. Après la présentation des concepts théoriques autour desquels se positionne notre recherche, nous exposerons ce qu’est le théâtreforum puis nous déclinerons les éléments théâtraux et technologiques de son adaptation à l’environnement numérique. Dans une approche où l’«acteur-numérique» (Masura, 2007) est aussi important que l’acteur réel, plusieurs troupes – Theatre for Living (Diamond, 2007), Caravane-Théâtre (Besnard, 2014: 188), ISOLAT (ISOLAT, 2015) – ont expérimenté cette transposition du Théâtre-forum au virtuel, rencontrant cependant des limitations d’ordre technique. Après avoir exposé ce qu’il manque dans ces quatre propositions, nous décrirons notre proposition d’implémentation d’une preuve de concept de ce qui est visé à terme comme une plateforme WEB de théâtre participatif en ligne. Les rôles de «spect-acteur» (Boal, 2004) et de joker seront redéfinis pour répondre à ces besoins technologiques. Notre système doit permettre aux spectateurs de devenir spect-acteurs de la représentation, cette fois-ci en utilisant une plateforme web avec des caméras vidéo connectées à un serveur central. Un joker devra gérer les souhaits d’intervention émis par des spect-acteurs, dispersés. Notre recherche se concentrera donc sur le fait de faciliter l’intervention du spect-acteur virtuel via le web en respectant les paramètres originels définis par Boal (rôle duel de spectateur et d’acteur). Spécifier cette preuve de concept est la première étape vers le théâtre-forum en ligne. Ceci a des limites comme des atouts que nous nous proposons de présenter, tout comme la plus-value que ce concept apporte au monde du théâtre participatif en ligne. Nous finirons par l’analyse, grâce à un exemple, de la démarche de création d’un théâtre-forum dans le contexte d’une représentation en ligne. / This project is to use Internet and Information Technologies to adapt the forum-theatre technique that is part of Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed (1974) to the digital world. After a presentation of theoretical concepts framing our research, we will expose what forum-theatre is and deduce the theatre and technological issues involved in adapting it to the digital environment. Using an approach highlighting the «cyborg actor» (Masura, 2007) as important as the real actor, several theatre – Theatre for Living (Diamond, 2007), Caravane-Théâtre (Besnard, 2014: 188), ISOLAT (ISOLAT, 2015) – have experienced this transposition of forum-theatre to digital, though meeting some limits regarding technology. After analysing what is missing in these four proposals, we will describe our own proposal for implementing an artefact that should be leading to the envisioned WEB platform of digital participative theatre. The roles of the “spect-actor” (Boal, 2004) and the joker will be redefined to answer the technological needs. Our system should allow spectators to become spect-actors of the event, this time using the WEB platform with webcams wired to a central server. A joker should manage the requests for intervention coming from the spect-actors, physically spread. Our own research will focus on the need to facilitate the intervention of the virtual spect-actor through the WEB while still being faithful to the original parameters of Boal’s work (dual role of spectator and actor). Specifying this artefact is the first step towards digital forum-theatre. It has not only limitations but also advantages, which will we present, as well of the added value to the online theatre world. We will then analyse, through an example, the creative process towards an online forum-theatre event.
