The complete thesis in print form is available from the University Library. / The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive study of the cytology, innervation and blood supply of the pineal complex in Tiliqua rugosa, a large desert dwelling skink (family: Scincidae), commonly known as the sleepy or stumpy-tailed lizard. The study complements the physiological work already reported and expands the knowledge of the epithalamic region in lizards.
