Globalisation has led to the 'commodification' of higher education and the concern over the quality of higher education has exerted considerable pressure on educational institutions to improve their performance substantially. However, the efforts on how to enhance and evaluate the quality of higher education have been hindered by the lack of agreed models for quality improvement of higher education.
