Previous issue date: 2011-12-16 / This research aimed to make a survey of triatomines in Quirinópolis - GO city
(2005-2010) to identify the species and evaluate the urbanization of these vectors
resulting from environmental changes that occurred after the installation of
sugarcane power plants (São Francisco and Boa Vista) that replaced the
traditional farming of grain, chiefly corn and soybeans, with sugarcane
monoculture. The study are a had four rural regions (Bruacas, Pedra Lisa,
Salgado e Sete Lagoas) and 31 districts in urban area. The qualitative /
quantitative method was used and the research methodology comprised field work
and analysis of the forms of the Program for the Control of Human Chagas
Disease (PCHCD), exclusive of FUNASA. The data relating to agriculture and
demographic density was obtained from the Company of Technical Assistance
and Rural Extension (EMATER) and the Brazilian Institute of Geography and
Statistics (IBGE), respectively, since the epidemiological studies on Chagas
Disease (CD) were obtained from the Information System of Diseases and
Notification (SINAN), the Municipal Health secretary and local medical
laboratories. The analysis of the results were through descriptive statistics.
Through the entomological survey 2.925 triatomines were identified and divided
into seven species, from whict, two are endemic of Cerrado: Triatoma sordida and
Rhodnius neglectus and five non endemic species: Panstrongylus diasi, Triatoma
brasiliensis, Panstrongylus megistus, Panstrongylus geniculatus and Triatoma
williami. The specimens were captured into and peridomestic environment of rural
and urban areas. From these 15 specimens of T. sordida and two specimens of R.
neglectus were positive to T. cruzi. It was also possible to identify 381 cases of CD
and one case of Acute Chagas Desease (ACD) reported by SINAN in the period
(2005-2010). / Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo fazer um levantamento de triatomíneos no
município de Quirinópolis - GO (2005-2010) para identificar as espécies e avaliar
a urbanização desses vetores decorrente das transformações ambientais
ocorridas após a implantação das usinas sucroalcooleiras (São Francisco e Boa
Vista) que substituíram a agricultura tradicional de grãos, principalmente o milho e
a soja, pela monocultura canavieira. A área de estudo compreendeu quatro
regiões rurais (Bruacas, Pedra Lisa, Salgado e Sete Lagoas) e 31 bairros na zona
urbana. O método utilizado foi quali/quantitativo e a metodologia da pesquisa foi
trabalho de campo e análise de formulários do Programa de Controle da Doença
de Chagas Humana (PCDCH), de uso exclusivo da FUNASA. Os dados referentes
à agricultura e densidade demográfica foram obtidos na Empresa de Assistência
Técnica e Extensão Rural (EMATER) e Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e
Estatística (IBGE), respectivamente, enquanto os epidemiológicos sobre a Doença
de Chagas (DC) foram obtidos pelo Sistema de Informação de Agravos e
Notificação (SINAN), Secretaria Municipal de Saúde e laboratórios de análises
clínicas. As análises dos resultados foram feitas por meio de estatística descritiva.
Mediante o levantamento entomológico foram identificados 2.925 triatomíneos
distribuídos em sete espécies, dentre essas duas são endêmicas do Cerrado: o
Triatoma sordida e Rhodnius neglectus e cinco espécies não endêmicas:
Panstrongylus diasi, Triatoma brasiliensis, Panstrongylus megistus, Panstrongylus
geniculatus e Triatoma williami. Os espécimes foram capturados nos ambientes
intra e peridomiciliares da zona rural e urbana. Destes,15 espécimes de T. sordida
e 2 exemplares R. neglectus apresentaram positivos ao T. cruzi. Foi também
possível identificar 381 casos da DC e um caso da Doença de Chagas Aguda
(DCA) notificado pelo SINAN no período (2005-2010).
