This investigation was undertaken to determine the effectiveness of ultrasonic energy in removing spray residue from collards, to determine its effect on the content of ascorbic acid and carotene levels in the treated tissues, and to investigate the influence of ultrasonic energy on the respiratory activity and the histological changes of the tissues involved. / Ph.
