Previous issue date: 2000 / Resumo: O trabalho mostra os problemas de umidade nas construções, segundo uma classificação internacionalmente aceita, mostrando seus efeitos, formas de correção e forma de prevenção. O estudo dos problemas de umidade como sua origem, colabora de fato para prevenção de possíveis aparecimentos de novas fontes de umidade, que irá degradar com a construção, pois, conhecendo-se a fonte de umidade, poderá se pensar no projeto de impermeabilização ainda na fase de projeto, e, desta forma executar de maneira correta, aumentando assim o tempo de vida do edificio. Sendo o material utilizado nas construções convencionais porosos e geralmente de origem orgânica, que, com o tempo, apresentam um certo teor de umidade, que, com o tempo irá degradar a construção, e, devem ser tratados ainda na fase de execução / Abstract: This work presents the humidity problems in the constructions, according to a classification internationally accept, showing its effects, correction forms and prevention form. The study of the humidity problems as its origin, collaborates in fact for prevention of possible appearing of new humidity sources, that will degrade with the construction, because, being known the humidity source, it can still be thought of the process of makng impermeable project in the project phase, and, this way to execute in a correct way, increasing like this the time oflife ofthe building. Being the material used in the porous conventional constructions and generally of organic origin, that, with the time, they present a certain humidity text, that, with the time it will degrade the construction, and they should still be treated in the execution phase / Mestrado / Edificações / Mestre em Engenharia Civil
