Dentro do panorama literário do século XX a novela Noite (1954, de Erico Verissimo) aborda o conflito entre o indivíduo e a sociedade no espaço da crise urbana. Este trabalho relaciona a novela às correntes filosóficas da época da sua redação. Visa também indicar a filosofia como um elemento de interpretação do texto literário. A localização da narrativa no contexto histórico de sua produção sugere uma leitura interdisciplinar. / Inside the literary panorama from the 20th century, the novel Noite (1954, by Erico Verissimo) treats the conflict between the individual and the society within the context of urban crises. This study correlates the novel with the philosophical lines from the time of its writing. It also indicates philosophy as an interpreting element from the literary text. The narrative location in the historical context of its production suggests an interdisciplinary reading.
