Dissertacao_2007_AlayanaFlaviaMatuda.pdf: 391963 bytes, checksum: f8096915782e22daafcb984679c775ce (MD5) / A finalidade desta pesquisa foi determinar a prevalência de agenesia dentária em pacientes com idade a partir de sete anos, submetidos a tratamento em consultórios ortodôntia no município de Cacoal - RO no período de 2000 a 2005, por meio da análise dos prontuários clínicos. Foram analisadas 300 radiografias panorâmicas, 87 do gênero masculino e 213 do gênero feminino. A agenesia dentária foi constatada em 04 (1,33%) dos prontuários estudados: sendo um (0,33%) do sexo masculino e três (1%) do sexo feminino. Dos quatro pacientes com agenesia dentária, a faixa etária de maior percentual foi de 19 a 30 anos oito (72,73%). O número total de agenesia dentária foi de oito dentes, o dente mais freqüentemente encontrado com agenesia foi o incisivo lateral esquerdo, seguido pelo incisivo lateral direito. Um dos pacientes (caso 01) apresentou além da agenesia de incisivos laterais apresentou ausência de um segundo molar esquerdo assim como outra paciente só apresentou agenesia dos dois segundos molares inferiores.
________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The purpose of this research was to determine the prevalence of tooth agenesis in
patients with ages beliveen 7 and, undergoing treatment in regular orthodontics in the
municipality of Cacoal-RO for the period 2000 to 2005, through the analysis of the
clinical records. They were analyzed 300 panoramic radiographs, where 87 were the
male gender and 213 of the female gender. The dental agenesis was noted in 04
(1.33%) of the records studied: where one (0.33%) were male and three (1%) female.
Of the four patients with dental agenesis the age of highest percentage was from 19
to 30 years eight (72.73%). The total number of agenesis dental foid and eight teeth,
the tooth was the most frequently found left lateral incisor, followed by the right lateral
incisor. One of the patients (case 01) submitted beyond agenesis of lateral incisors
presented absence of a second molar left and another patient presented only two
seconds agenesis of the lower molars.
