La lectoescritura es un proceso muy importante para los estudiantes, pues a través de
ella pueden adquirir los conocimientos y habilidades que les servirán para
desenvolverse y tener éxito en la vida. En ese sentido, la presente investigación
responde a la pregunta sobre cuál es el rol del docente en la enseñanza de la
lectoescritura en el segundo grado de primaria de una institución pública de Lima
Metropolitana. En función a la misma, se plantea como objetivo general analizar el rol
del docente en la enseñanza de la lectoescritura, teniendo en cuenta dos categorías
(funciones y didáctica del docente). El enfoque es cualitativo y de nivel descriptivo,
pues busca analizar y describir, mediante la observación, los hechos o sucesos del
objeto de estudio, en el lugar donde se encuentren. Para recoger la información se
emplea la técnica de la observación y las entrevistas, tanto a la docente como a tres
estudiantes. Se concluye que el rol que asume la docente en la enseñanza de la
lectoescritura implica diversas funciones e influye en su didáctica, las cuales están
relacionadas con la facilitación de aprendizajes, el uso de recursos, la planificación de
actividades y sesiones, la aplicación de estrategias y el empleo de métodos de
enseñanza. / Literacy is a very important process for students because through it they can acquire
knowledge and skills that will help them function and succeed in life. In that sense, the
current research answers the question of what is the teacher ́s role in teaching second
grade literacy in a public school in Lima Metropolitana. Based on it, the main objective
is to analyze the role of the teacher in teaching literacy, with two categories involved
(functions and didactics of the teacher). The approach is qualitative and the method
descriptive, as it seeks to analyze and describe, through the observation, the facts or
events of the object of study, in the place where they are. To collect the information,
the technique of observation and interviews with both the teacher and three students
is used. It is concluded that the role assumed by the teacher in the teaching of literacy
involves various functions and influences its didactics, which are related to the
facilitation of learning, the use of resources, the planning of activities and sessions, the
implementation of strategies and the use of teaching methods.
