Previous issue date: 2010-03-03 / This work has the objective of presenting e proposing a dialectic reflection of the social Cosmo - vision from the Baptist people of São Paulo as a social entity. In other words, what is the social praxis adopted for the group as an active social unit in search for a conciliation of the Baptist conceptual thinking in Brazil, essentially in Sao Paulo, being the study object of this academic research in its developing applicative. This research has also the objective to promote a deep analysis of the theme presenting a real projection through Field research developed and promoted exclusively for this purpose, where the author tries to investigate how the relation between comprehension and action specially the models of social intervention adopted. However this analysis is in need of a reading spot , a horizon, a path for the research. As a theoretical reference the author adopted the Italian thinker and philosopher Antonio Gramsci, through which the analytical perspective develops in a particular manner the process of dialectic interpretation of the work. To understand the cosmo vision of a religious group as conduct line of a social intervention process (in a logical sense) results in the central objective of this work even when associated to an exterior analysis perspective (Gramsci), where this analysis demonstrates the possibility of unifying intentions and needs. / Este trabalho tem por objetivo apresentar e propor uma reflexão dialética sobre a cosmovisão social dos batistas paulistanos, enquanto entidade social constituída. Ou seja, qual a práxis social adotada como modelo pelo grupo como unidade social ativa, buscando uma aproximação entre a estrutura conceitual do pensamento Batista no Brasil essencialmente na cidade de São Paulo. Pretende ainda promover uma análise mais aprofundada do tema apresentando uma projeção real deste quadro, demonstrada através de pesquisa de campo, desenvolvida e promovida exclusivamente para este fim. O autor durante todo o período de produção acadêmica buscou e investigou o funcionamento da relação entre compreensão e ação , especificamente quanto aos modelos de intervenção social adotados por ela. Entretanto, esta análise necessita de um lugar de leitura , um horizonte por onde trilhe esta pesquisa. Para isto, o autor adotou como referencial teórico, o pensador e filósofo italiano, Antonio Gramsci, sob a perspectiva analítica desenvolvendo o processo de interpretação adotado neste trabalho. Compreender a cosmovisão de um grupo religioso como margeador de um processo de intervenção social particular (no sentido lógico) se faz então, o objetivo central, mesmo que associado a uma perspectiva exterior (Gramsciana) de análise. Análise essa que, em seu conjunto demonstra uma possibilidade de unidade de intenções e
necessidades.
