Byggbranschen är hårt drabbad av arbetsplatsolyckor och vill uppnå en nollvision gällande detta. Alla ska kunna komma hem tryggt och säkert efter en arbetsdag. Systematiskt arbetsmiljöarbete är ett verktyg som används för att skapa en bättre arbetsmiljö. Företagen arbetar på så sätt med förebyggande arbete för att uppnå ett säkrare klimat. Peab Sverige AB arbetar med riskobservationer som en del av det förebyggande arbetet, där syftet är att uppnå effekter av minskat antal olyckor. En riskobservation beskrivs som en observation över en avvikelse i verksamheten som kan leda till tillbud eller arbetsskada innan det har inträffat. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilken effekt riskobservationer har på säkerhetskulturen på byggarbetsplatserna hos Peab Sverige AB samt om arbetet med riskobservationer behöver förtydligas ytterligare för att nå förväntat effekt. Det sker genom att studera företagets interna statistik över inrapportering av riskobservationer, tillbud och olyckor samt en enkätundersökning för att få en uppfattning om hur anställda på Peab ser på riskobservationer. Resultatet visar att riskobservationerna inte gett den förväntade effekten, inrapporterade riskobservationer har ökat men det har också tillbuden och olyckorna. Enligt enkätundersökningen uppfattas vikten av riskobservationer och säkerhetsarbete som positiva. Men det uppfattas också att det inte gett en större förändring på arbetsplatserna. Slutsatserna av studien är att riskobservationer är bra för att öka medvetenheten hos medarbetarna på så sätt skapa en bättre säkerhetskultur, uppföljningen behöver bli bättre alternativt ändra sättet att arbeta med riskobservationer, att åtgärda i stället för att rapportera. Samt att skapa en tydlig dialog med medarbetarna varför det är viktigt med riskobservationer. / The construction industry is hard hit by workplace accidents and wants to achieve a zero vision regarding this. Everyone should be able to come home safely after a day at work. Systematic Work Environment Management is used to create a better work environment. It is a way for companies to work for preventive purposes to achieve a safer climate. Peab Sverige AB works with risk observations as part of the preventive work, where the purpose is to achieve the effects of a reduced number of accidents. A risk observation is described as an observation of a deviation that can lead to an incident or work injury before it has occurred. The aim with this study was to investigate the effect of risk observations on the safety culture at the construction sites at Peab Sverige AB and whether the work with risk observations needs to be further clarified in order to achieve the expected effect. This is done by studying the company's internal statistics on reporting risk observations, incidents and accidents, as well as a survey to get an idea of how employees at Peab view risk observations. The results show that the risk observations have not given the expected effect, reported risk observations have increased, but so have the incidents and accidents. According to the survey, the importance of risk observations and safety work is perceived as positive. But it is also perceived that there has not been a major change in the workplace. The conclusions of the study are that risk observations are good for increasing the awareness of employees, thus creating a better safety culture, the follow-up needs to be better or changing the way of working with risk observations, to take action instead of reporting. And to create a clear dialogue with employees why risk observations are important.
