Val av anteckningsmetod skiljer sig studenter emellan. Vid universitetsutbildningar ar lärandetempot högt vilket gör att valet av anteckningsmetod blir viktigt. Sett till anteckningsmetod och dess inverkan på arbetsminnet, sa påvisar tidigare studier inga signifikanta skillnader nar det kommer till arbetsminnet nar man testar på enbart faktafrågor. Däremot skiljer sig resultaten for anteckningsmetoderna nar det kommer till att förstå ett ämne i stort, där papper och penna visar sig vara den basta metoden i jämförelse med att ta anteckningar på dator. Syftet med den har studien ar att undersöka huruvida arbetsminnet påverkas av anteckningsmetod och for att förstå om det finns en typ av anteckningsmetod som ar bättre lämpad for studenters arbetsminne. Anteckningsmetoderna som undersöktes var anteckningar digitalt på dator med tangentbord respektive analogt med penna på papper. Studien genomfördes med en grupp av 18 civilingenjörsstudenter på programmet Medieteknik på KTH. Studenterna delades in i två grupper. Varje student fick ta del av tre olika ljudklipp som vardera bestod av en lista med 20 ord. Efter varje lista följde ett prov for att se hur manga ord deltagarna kom ihåg. Grupperna fick i olika ordning under uppläsningen av listorna anteckna på dator, på papper for hand samt under en lista enbart lyssna. Resultatet for studien visade att arbetsminnet fungerade bast om studenten enbart lyssnade och inte agnade fokus at att anteckna, vare sig på papper eller på dator. Det visade också att nar studenter antecknade på dator sa fick de ett något bättre resultat jämfört med att anteckna på papper med penna. / Choice of note taking methods differs between students. In university educations the learning pace is high, which makes the choice of how to take study notes important. Examining note taking methods and the short-term memory of students, previous studies show no significant differences in short-term memory when testing different note taking methods solely for factual questions. However, the results differed when testing note taking methods for understanding a topic as a whole, showing that pen and paper is the better method compared to note taking on a computer. The purpose of this study is to look into whether students' working memory is affected by the method of note taking and to examine if there is one note taking method that is better in terms of the short-term memory of students. The form of notes that were examined were study notes taken on a computer with a keyboard and notes taken with a pen on paper. 18 engineering students in the program Media Technology at KTH participated in this study. The students were divided into two groups. Every student took part in listening to three different audio clips. Each audio clip consisted of a list containing 20 words. After each list, a test was conducted to see how many words the participants remembered. The groups were taking notes in different order while listening to the lists, either on computer, on paper by hand or just listening. The results of the study showed that the working memory functioned the best if a student only listened and did not focus on taking notes, either on paper or on a computer. Tt also showed that when students were writing on a computer they received slightly better results compared to writing on paper with a pen.
