Vnímání rostlin v krajinářské architektuře

Diploma theses deals with the subject of perception in landscape architecture. Based primarily on existing knowledge of disciplines such as psychology, philosophy of art and natural aestethics, it is related to the work of landscape architect, and possibilities of practise applying. At the same time, it gives a help and improves his argumental base when presenting some projects. There is such a deep need in present days full of technologies to create, communicate and present the variety of architectural designs as entirely and complexly as possible. That is why it is so much important to develop our relation to nature constantly and sensitively, as this does not include the aesthetical aspect only, though it is perceived as the most important one often. The diploma is thus also like a reflection and food for thought about possibilities, differences and qualities of life-space perception. In the literary part of diploma there is a phenomenon of human perceptional process introduced with views from several disciplines. Then there is described – as the main human language of visual communication - an influence of some compositional elements in architecture that are used by couple of art fields, the theme of psychological effects of colours on humans and also, focusing on architectural field, a relation of perception and art in its variety is outlined. The grand second chapter in the literary part is aesthetical peception-oriented with some arguments for essential and irreplaceable role of aesthetics in our lives. There is a short look into evolutionary psychology taken, where some roots of the human-nature relation and landscape aesthetical preferences can be found. The left part of literary research addreses to a multi-spectrum field of landscape architecture using knowledge from other disciplines. This also presents some main tools and possibilities used by landscape architects. A short chapter is devoted to a historical research of garden-art objects with specifics of their origin and design in confrontation with time. The practical – design part of diploma is presented as an landscape architectural study that designs a new form and use of castle horticultural object in the town of Jevišovice. The study makes the horticultural object open to the public and tries to offer diversity of both activities and rest places. Together with these it tries to not strictly change the primar and traditional use of previous purpose of the object.
