Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, which affects mostly women. RA is also a chronic disease and the treatment is focused on moderating the immunological process. RA-patients experience daily pain which affect their prosperity. The aim of this literature study is to illuminate some factors that influence the well-being of patients with RA. The factors that have been studied are pain, nutrition and need of knowledge about nutrition. The result is based on 11 scientific articles. The pain has shown to affect several psychological factors as: depression, self-esteem and support in both positive and negative direction. The patients experience less well-being when they can’t move as normal, because the pain affects the physical ability. Changes in nutrition can affect the psychical ability in a positive direction for example if they eliminate meet and gluten or if the patients eats more Mediterranean diet. Unfortunately it has shown that RA-patients who has been included in this literature review don’t get the information that they need to improve their well-being. The authors will show how the nurse can give different nursing measurement
