Previous issue date: 2014-08-20 / The goal of this thesis is to analyze how the changes in the world of work are materialized and have an impact on the work developed by social workers, trying to contribute with subsidies to strengthen and improve working conditions and relations. The research took place in the north eastern part of Rio Grande do Sul Brasil, with social workers who are acting there in different socio-occupational environments. The changes that are happening in the last three decades due to the economic crises and to the reconfiguration of capitalism have a core impact on the social and technical of work itself and, consequently, in the work processes in which the professional occupations are developed. This object of research is the specialized work developed by social workers. Methodologically, we privileged the study over the social changes, through a bibliographic review and synthesis, aiming to understand the main historical, social and structural components and highlight their determinations towards the world of work. We focused also on the elaboration of a brief characterization of the region in which the research took place, identifying components that contributed to the local bounds with the social project. We used an exploratory and mixed approach, emphasizing the qualitative view, what made possible the analysis from data of questionnaires applied to social workers in duty on the region, in different working places. The results of analysis evidenced that, through neoliberal policies and productive restructuring, the changes in the organization and management of work have an equal effect for Social Work, affecting their daily demands, such as the structural fragility of working environments, the lack of regulation and the loosening of those, which are expressions of the poor conditions and working relationships on the health of the workers. / Analisar como as transforma??es do mundo do trabalho se materializam e repercutem no trabalho realizado por assistentes sociais, com finalidade de contribuir com subs?dios para fortalecer e aprimorar as condi??es e rela??es de trabalho, configura-se como objetivo central dessa Tese. A pesquisa foi realizada na Regi?o Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul Brasil com assistentes sociais que est?o exercendo a profiss?o em diferentes espa?os s?cio-ocupacionais. As transforma??es que vem ocorrendo nas ?ltimas tr?s d?cadas, por decorr?ncia da crise do capital e reconfigura??es do capitalismo, incidem nuclearmente na divis?o social e t?cnica do trabalho e, por consequ?ncia, nos processos de trabalho em que se desenvolvem as ocupa??es profissionais. A pesquisa situa o trabalho especializado, desenvolvido por assistentes sociais, como objeto da investiga??o. No percurso metodol?gico, privilegiou-se estudo sobre as transforma??es societ?rias, por meio de revis?o bibliogr?fica e sistematiza??o, visando compreender os principais componentes hist?ricos, s?cio-estruturais, e, evidenciar suas determina??es para com o mundo do trabalho; privilegiou-se a elabora??o de uma breve caracteriza??o da regi?o em que se realiza a pesquisa, situando-a e identificando componentes que contribuem para a vincula??o local com os projetos societ?rios. Utilizou-se de uma abordagem de car?ter explorat?rio do tipo misto, com ?nfase no qualitativo, que possibilitou as an?lises a partir de dados origin?rios de question?rios, aplicados para assistentes sociais que atuam na regi?o, em diversos espa?os de trabalho. Os resultados da an?lise evidenciaram que, por meio das pol?ticas neoliberais e reestrutura??o produtiva, as transforma??es na organiza??o e gest?o do trabalho, igualmente repercutem sobre o trabalho do Servi?o Social, com efeitos sobre as demandas cotidianas, a precariza??o estrutural dos espa?os e ambientes de trabalho, a desregulamenta??o e a flexibiliza??o, que determinam express?es da precariza??o das condi??es e rela??es de trabalho e sobre a sa?de das/os trabalhadoras/es.
